Enfoque: El Gobierno negó categóricamente que el Presidente Lagos hubiera autorizado el pago de sobresueldos cuando se desempeñó como ministro de Obras Públicas, entre 1994 y 1998. Al respecto el vocero de La Moneda, ministro Francisco Vidal, señaló que a mucha gente le gustaría involucrar al Gobierno en problemas, pero eso es parte de la vida democrática. El Gobierno está muy tranquilo, agregó. Por su parte, el ministro del MOP, Javier Etcheberry, afirmó que todo se ha hecho en forma transparente.
