Biographical history
Nacido en Dresden, Alemania, en 1926, Henry Landsberger formó parte del Kindertransport que evacuó a casi 10.000 niños, en su mayoría judíos, a Inglaterra desde territorios controlados por Alemania justo antes del estallido de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Se licenció en la London School of Economics and Political Science en 1948. Henry se trasladó al Departamento de Sociología de la Universidad de Carolina del Norte en Chapel Hill en 1968 como profesor titular y permaneció en su facultad hasta que se jubiló en 1994.
